Eider Rúa, Founder and CEO of BNF Group, is an internationally recognized dancer, choreographer, creative director, and cultural producer with over 30 years of experience in the performing arts industry. His journey, from the dance floors of Colombia to the global stage, has left a lasting legacy in both the artistic and entertainment worlds.

Throughout his career, he has successfully founded and led high-impact projects and platforms such as BNF Dance Academy, BNF Entertainment, and the World Latin Dance Cup, building a creative ecosystem with strong international reach.

Passion for dance

  • Won multiple national and international titles, including Tango Champion in Colombia (2001), National Salsa Champion (2005), and Salsa Champion at the Dubai Latin Festival (2007).
  • Led BNF to victory at the World Latin Dance Cup in the United States (2010), earning the title of World Salsa Champions.
  • Directed international tours across Japan, the U.S., Canada, Argentina, Russia, Hong Kong, and throughout Europe.

General Director of the Medellín International Tango Festival in 2023.

Finalist on the Colombian TV show La Pista (Caracol TV, 2013) as director of the BNF group.

Directed international tours across Japan, the United States, Canada, Argentina, Russia, Hong Kong, and much of Europe.

Served as Artistic Director for high-profile events including the Dubai Shopping Festival (2008), the Colombia Salsa Festival (2008), and the World Tango Championship (2013–2017).

Founder and organizer of the World Latin Dance Cup since 2010, and producer of the Dubai Latin Fest in 2008 and 2017.

Winner of multiple national and international titles, including Colombian Tango Champion (2001), National Salsa Champion (2005), Salsa Champion at the Dubai Latin Fest (2007), and the Golden Condor Award at the International Tango Festival of San Luis, Argentina.

Led the production of more than 500 iconic events across multiple continents, collaborating with global brands such as Land Rover, Sony, HSBC, and IBM, and presenting productions at world-class hotels and venues including Burj Al Arab, Grand Hyatt, Ritz-Carlton, Shangri-La, Le Méridien, and Madinat Jumeirah, as well as landmark locations such as Mall of the Emirates and Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai.

Produced and directed large-scale productions such as Dancing Around the World and Triptudium, presented in Colombia, Dubai, and Los Angeles; Tango Bohemio at the Dubai National Theatre (2007); Tango Evolution at Medellín’s Metropolitan Theatre (2004); Salsa at the Four Corners of the World with Swing Latino; and The Tango Route, a project supported by Colombia’s Ministry of Culture.
